(title pasted on, some underlinings, some min. soiling). 19th-c. yellow morocco (illegible gilt binder's name on spine, Chill[iat] ?), gilt-ruled border on covers, gilt orn. flat spine, gilt sides, a.e.g., flower orn. inside dentelles, marbled endpapers. Good copy. Very rare second edition (1st 1571) of the French translation by F. de Belleforest of the misogynist work "Il Corbaccio" by Boccaccio (1313-1375), written in 1354 and first printed Florence 1487. Another French trsl. by de Premont (Paris, 1698 & Amst., 1702) exists under the title "Le songe de Boccace". Title within elaborate woodcut border. Ref.
