Contemp. calf, gilt spine on raised bands (joint defective, head and tail bands missing, corners and under edge used). Rare collection of three works by Duval, not mentioned by Pastoureau and dated in the first work 1682 instead of the last 1679 edition. Together they offered the French public an overview of the territorial expansion of France after the Treaties of Westphalen (1648), Aix-la-Chapelle (1668) and Nijmegen (1679). Table with acquisitions of France (part 1) augmented until 1781; extra table (at the end of part 1) with adaptions made at the Treaty of Nijmegen in 1679. Ref.
