Cologne Braun & Hogenberg 1596 Copper engraving printed on 2 joined sheets, 45,5 x 78,5 cm, cartouche and coats-of-arms coloured (some repairs on old folds, splitt. c'fold repaired). Verso blank. Good copy. Nice and detailed bird's-eye view plan of the citadel and city of Antwerp with underneath the key to the main monuments. The print appeared in the "Civitates Orbis Terrarum", published by Braun and Hogenberg from 1572 to 1616, and in Janssonius' "Urbium totius Belgii seu Germaniae inferioris", Amsterdam, 1657. Ref.
