A suit of arms yoroi Lot n° 385

A yoroi-style suit of arms with green cords. The helm with a gilt dragon & antlers. Four-piece neck guard, six piece shoulder guards with taupe-colored cords. A black facial mask with separate nose piece (resseib?) with a five piece gorget (nodowa), with a brown moustache and goatee. A two-piece bucket shaped cuirass with horizontal metal strips, laced with green cords and a red pocket with blue tassel. From the cuirass hangs a five-piece kusazuri with leather patches on the bottom. The arms with arm-guards of Japanese mail and black lacquered strips over brocade. The black lacquered cuisses (haidate) decorated with gilt crests of a Kirin and a Flower pattern. The lower leg protectors consist of vertical black lacquered metal strips and leather patches.
