Gilt and colour on paper. Each painted with an arhat (Long Eyebrow Luohan and Elephant Riding Luohan) and accompanied with an inscription with two seal marks reading 'Chen Kai' and 'Jing Shu'. The paintings: 59 cm. long x 37.5 cm. wide, framed and glazed Catalogue note: the usage of these seals has been attributed to Yu Zongli, a painter in Shanghai in the 18th century. Condition: Both with scattered foxing; colours well preserved. Origin: China Period: Anonymous, 18th-19th century Sizes: 59.00 cm. H x 37.50 cm. W 23.23 in. H x 14.76 in. W
