A Chinese blue and white Ming-style bottle va... Lot n° 40

The globular body is decorated in a Ming style with simulated 'heaping and piling' of a composite flower scroll above a band of petal lappets and trefoil cloud collar and foliate scroll bands on the shoulder. The neck is decorated with a band of upright leaves and a further trefoil band pendent from a band of cresting waves at the rim. The foot is encircled by a band of classic scroll. The base with an apocryphal Qianlong mark. Condition: Approximately 1/3 of the rim has been restuck, with a further infilled section (approx. 4 cm.)
