One dish is decorated to the centre with three geese by a lotus pond, the cavetto and rim are decorated with panels enclosing alternating flowers and auspicious objects. The other dish is decorated with a bird amongst flowers in a star-shaped panel, the cavetto and rim are decorated with panels enclosing alternating flowers and auspicious objects. The larger dish 29 cm. diameter. Condition: The 'geese' dish has a crack to the rim (approx. 6.5 cm. long.) There are expected frits and a shallow chip to the rim (approx. 1.2 cm. wide). Diameter 29 cm. The 'bird and flower' dish has a hairline crack to the rim (approx. 3 cm. long), and expected frits. There are some minor firing flaws to the interior (the largest approx. 0.6 cm.).
