One dish is finely decorated to the centre with two cranes below two pine trees and a lingzhi-fungus shaped cloud, the cavetto and rim are decorated with panels enclosing alternating flowers and auspicious objects. The other dish is decorated with a birds amongst flowers by a pond, the cavetto and rim are decorated with panels enclosing alternating flowers and auspicious objects. Condition: The 'cranes' dish appears to be in overall good condition apart from expected frits and a few shallow chips to the rim. The 'bird' dish has a crack to the rim (approx. 3.5 cm long), frits to the rim. Origin: China Period: Wanli period (1573-1619) Sizes: 28.50 cm. diameter 11.22 in. diameter
