Made in a series of 677 watches in 1993, very rare, large, cushion-shaped, water-resistant, stainless steel wristwatch with a stainless steel Officine Panerai buckle. Accompanied by the original fitted wooden box, warranty (now void), booklet, tool, one spare strap with a steel Panerai buckle. CASE: Three-body, polished and brushed, screwed-down engraved case back, winding crown with security lever, sapphire crystal. DIAL: Black with luminous Arabic numerals and Baton indexes. Luminous Baton hands. MOVEMENT: Cal. UT 6497, rhodium-plated, 17 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted 4 positions, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, index regulator. Dial, case and movement signed, in very good condition, AS NEW DIAM: 44 mm THICKNESS: 14 mm NOTE: The present Pre-Vendome Panerai is a beautifully example of the so-called "logo Luminor", named after the use of the distinctive "OP" logo on the dial. With its 44mm wide stainless steel case, it was with no doubt one of the largest timepiece offered at that time. The logo Luminor was produced in two references: Reference 5218-209/A was produced in a series of 10 or 12 pieces whereas reference 5218-201/A, such as the present example, was made in a series of 677 watches in 1993.
