Statuette en porcelaine de Meissen représentant une persane, circa 1750 A Meissen figure of a Persian woman, circa 1750 Modelled by J.J. Kaendler and P. Reinicke, holding her long hair with her right hand, wearing a white headscarf with a jewel on her forehead, a yellow-lined lavender tunic with gilt flower sprigs and buttons and a purple-striped sash, white stockings and red shoes, the base applied with leaves and flowers, 21.7cm high, crossed swords mark in underglaze-blue to rear of base (minor chips to leaves) Footnotes: Based on pl. 91, Femme Persienne, in the Comte de Ferriol's 'Receuil de cent estampes représentant différentes nations du Levant. . . .
