Tasse à chocolat et soucoupe en porcelaine de Meissen du service 'Gelber Löwe' pour la Cour Saxonne/Polonaise, circa 1755 A Meissen chocolate cup and saucer from the 'Gelber Löwe' service for the Saxon/Polish Court, circa 1755 The flared cup with an ear-shaped handle, decorated in Kakiemon style with the 'Gelber Loewe' pattern, a tiger curling around bamboo facing flowering prunus branches, brown-edged rims, the saucer: 13.6cm; the cup: 6.8cm high crossed swords marks in underglaze-blue, impressed 59 to saucer, Warsaw court pantry inventory mark K[önigliche].H[of]. II (2013), pp. 265-274. Thirty-six single-handled chocolate beakers and saucers decorated with this pattern were delivered to Warsaw from the Dresden warehouse in June 1756. In September 1760, a further seventy-two single-handled chocolate beakers and saucers marked 'K.H.C.W.' were delivered in Warsaw from the Dresden warehouse (quoted by J.
