Large claret jug, silver. Lot n° 13

Large model executed with cherubs with instruments. The spout is decorated with playing cherubs above the head of ''the green man''. The decor continues in diamond-shaped patterns with floral decoration and ends with a convex bottom. The cover is equipped with a thumb rest in the shape of a lion with (empty) cartridge. The handle, like the sides, is decorated with grape vines. Portugal, Porto, mid 20th century, hallmarks: content hallmark, unknown maker's mark, Dutch import hallmarks - light signs of wear and dents. 670 grams, 916/1000. Dim. L 18.5 cm, W 13.5 cm, H 28.5 cm.
