European school, early 20th century. "Adolescent with candle". Bronze. Measurements: 30 cm. high. An adolescent girl holds a candle in her hands. The sculptor manages to transmit the apparent fragility of a female body not yet fully developed. The limbs are slender but flexible, softly turned. The slight slenderness of the legs and the subtly protruding belly skilfully convey a beautiful image of this precious transitional period between childhood and maturity. We could even say that the figure is an allegory of puberty.
