"MUHAMMAD ALI, 1942 - 2016, A RARE DOUBLE SIDED FELT TIP ON PAPER, 1976 TITLED ‘Peace’, fighter jet planes, battleships, tanks and soldiers, with figures in a garden below peace signs, with signed handwritten inscription below, ‘Death is so near and time for friendly actions is limited, 10 March 1976, Peace’, verso having two fighter jet planes amongst clouds, mounted and flanked by later facsimile black and white photographs of Muhammad Ali, Exhibition mounted, framed and double glazed. (central 28 x 39.5cm, overall 74 x 93cm) Condition: good overall, inscription faded, slight damage lower bottom right corner Provenance: FAMILY ENTERED, THE PRIVATE COLLECTION THE LATE PADDY MONAGHAN, friend, colleague and on occasions cornerman at Ali’s fights including Ali vs Fraser II. Muhammad was in England promoting his book ‘The Greatest My Own Story’ when he drew this double sided drawing while staying in the Savoy Hotel London, whilst both he and Paddy where in deep conversation about war and peace in Vietnam and the North of Ireland (Paddy’s home). Muhammad gifted his artwork to Paddy at the table at the end of the evening "
