HUIT STATUETTES EN TERRE CUITE NOIRE Époque des Royaumes Combattants (475-221 avant J.-C.) ou postérieur EIGHT PAINTED BLACK-POTTERY FIGURES Warring States Period (475-221 BC) or later Comprising a group of four dancers, each with animated bodies and arms held aloft to the sides, wearing flowing robes with the sleeves extending over the hands, decorated in red and cream pigments; and a group of four smaller figures of ladies, variously modelled, three wearing black tops and red skirts, the fourth kneeling with the hands resting on the hips, dressed in a black robe. The dancers all approx. 8cm (3 1/8in) high; the smaller figures 6cm (2 3/8in) high. (8).
