Pair of Foo dogs, Qing dynasty. China, late 19th, early 20th century. Hand-polychromed porcelain. Measurements:59 x 25 x 31 cm . Pair of Foo dogs, Qing dynasty. China, late 19th century, early 20th century, in ceramics for export. Polychromed with their traditional decorations and modelled with their mouths open and seated, one with a paw resting on a small puppy, the other with a paw resting on a ball, resting on traditional Chinese supports. Beautifully hand-decorated in a glazed majolica style in green, yellow and aubergine. Wear and tear from use and age. This lot can be seen at the SetdartBarcelona Gallery located at C/Aragón, 346.
