TWO ENGRAVED SELJUK BRONZE BOWLS, 12TH CENTURY Hammered-brass bowls of large form with a flat circular base, a corseted body and a circular body rising to a flared rim surrounding the shallow basin, the interior decorated with a sfenks depicting a bird with a human head, encircled with Arabic calligraphy, outer decorated with scrolling cusped lotus, with a band of scrolling vines following another band with a repeated pattern of scrolling cusped lotus, 13.5cm diameter larger basin 19cm
