Bohemian goblet-centre of transparent bicoloured glass and hand-carved amber in the characteristic and inimitable style of Central European craftsmen. The central motif is carved with a design of grapes and vines and other fruits, which intertwine their leaves and stems to form an elegant garland. The delicate hand carving on this beautiful glass is characteristic of the Bohemian glass style.
Bohemian glass, known mainly as Bohemian crystal, is a glass produced in the regions of Bohemia and Silesia, now parts of the Czech Republic. It has a centuries-long history of being internationally recognised for its high quality, craftsmanship, beauty and often innovative designs. Hand-cut, engraved, blown and painted decorative glassware ranging from champagne flutes to huge candelabras, ornaments, figurines and other glassware are among the best-known Czech exports and are immensely popular, both among the local and foreign population.
