Description : Cette peinture figure le Rêve du varan Perenti dont l'artiste est le dépositaire. Sur un fond de flore propre à la région de Kurrejong, George a peint une femelle varan. Symbole de renaissance, elle est représentée s'occupant de ses oeufs. Les chemins de rêve reliant les oeufs entre eux symbolisent le lien entre cette source de nourriture et l'artiste. Les ressources vivrières de la nature sont essentielles pour les gens d'Utopia et ils ont pris soin de les préserver, depuis qu'ils ont pu récupérer la propriété de leurs terres ancestrales en 1976, et d'éviter que le bétail ne les saccagent. This painting depicts George's Perente Dreaming. On a background of flora from the Kurrejong area, George has painted a large female perente. This symbol of rebirth is shown by the perente tending a new batch of eggs. Dreaming tracks weaving between the eggs show a spiritual connection between the food source and the artist. Bush tucker is very important to the people of Utopia, and is still available in abundance due to the fact that these people own their own land as freehold title, and have not run cattle on the property since 1976.
