Four bottles of Campillo Reserva Especial, two from 1991 and two from 1994. Category: Red wine. D.O. Rioja. Level: A and B. The Reserva Especial is the result of a rigorous selection of the most prestigious grape varieties grown by the Campillo family in the vineyards surrounding the winery. The entire long process of harvesting, vinification and aging, 22 months in barrels of the best oak and 30 months sleeping before release, has been carried out entirely on the property. This is a wine to drink now or to cellar, with an estimated improvement potential of at least 10 years. The Campillo winery maintains a totally family character, backed by four generations of experience. It has 50 hectares of vineyards with Tempranillo grapes surrounding the winery, where its wines are aged using the most traditional Riojan methods.
