Three bottles Cims de Porrera "Clàssic" 1998. Category: red wine. D.O. Priorat. Level: A. Cims de Porrera was born in 1996 with the aim of exploiting the full potential of the vineyards in the village of Porrera. These vineyards, some of which are over a century old, are mostly planted with the Caranyena variety, especially appreciated for its color production, its tannins and the excellent coupage it forms with the light and fruity Garnatxa, the other great native variety of the Priorat. Both the Cims de Porrera Clàssic Caranyena and Garnatxa and the Solanes are three classic wines born in the vineyards of the members of the Porrera cooperative, from vines with very low yields that grow in llicorella soils, the typical Priorat terroir formed by fragments of crumbled slate. Cims de Porrera and Solanes are made in the old cooperative winery, in facilities that have been renovated with the aim of making the most of the uniqueness of the municipality's vineyards. The grapes from the different plots are vinified separately according to their location and orientation, thus making it possible to produce wines with a strong personality that treasure all the strength of expression and richness of the Porrera vineyards.
