Pair of Lampstands “Langui” - 1960 Bronze and fabric - 163 cm Provenance: Private collection, Belgium Exhibited: Henri Miller Showroom, Brussels, 1965 Published: Emiel Veranneman, Gemeentekrediet, Ghent, 1994, ill. p.114 This pair of lampstands are the very ones that were exhibited in 1965 at the Henri Miller Showroom in Brussels. As can be seen on the period photograph of the time, they originally came with one black lampshade, and the other with a white lampshade. The collector who acquired both lamps at the show had the black lamp shade replaced by an identical white one.
