An 1870/87 model Vetterli rifle Lot n° 91

dating: 1883 provenance: Turin, Rifled, round, 10 mm cal. barrel, with octagonal base, marked 'Torino', with two Savoy marks, date '1883' and serial no. 'CD2xxx', provided with clutch for the bayonet, foresight and adjustable rear sight. Working bolt. Much of the bluing is still present. Full wooden stock, marked on the butt side 'ALLERTON HAWKES CO .16 U.S.A.R. 4051' and with coeval serial number. With iron mounts and ramrod. length 134 cm.
