DELFT -- COLLECTION of c. 3200 picture postcards of Delft, alphabetically arranged with tab cards according to streets, monuments, etc. Late 19th-20th c. Stored in 6 shoe boxes, the majority of the cards loose in plastic folders. NOTE:Unique collection and - to our knowledge - one of the largest on Delft that came to market in recent years. The collection comprises for the greater part postcards of the city centre, but also the more recent neighbourhoods in the city which are represented by often rather rare cards from the 1950's and 1960's. Including inevitable duplicates (which may however differ from each other in condition). Partly circulated, described and with/or without stamps, partly blank. In general in very good condition. Including a collection of c. 30 'Groeten uit Delft' postcards (some moveable), many 'photo cards' and postcards that were produced by local entrepeneurs for commercial purposes.
