The twin-handled bowl decorated with oval medallions depicting allegorical scenes between gilded animals and birds in landscape silhouettes against copper glazed frieze bands, on a deep puce ground adorned with strings of tiny blue enamelled beads and fine gilt embellishments, inscribed to the base ''Venus und Amor'' and ''Amor am Pranger''. The lid surmounted by a finial knop and inscribed ''Venus und Amor'' and ''Der Raub des Ulyses'', 5½'' (14 cm) hig, 7½'' (19 cm) in diameter.
