VERKEST, Johannes Baptist "Caerte figurative, van eene behuysde, beschuerde, en verder bebouwde hofstede, land, bosch en meirsschen daer medegaende; gestaen ende gelegen ter prochie van Ardoye, wat noordwest van de kerke". 1814 Drawing, pen, brown, black and coloured ink, watercolour, on parchment, 61 x 69,5 cm (sm. tr. of use). Early and colourful manuscript map of a farm in Koolskerke (Oude Lichterveldsestraat 87, Ardooie) by a map maker of Wingene, J.B. Verkest (1780-1857). It shows the parcels with their land-owners, the "Kruys-beke" and the surveyed sowing land. Martinus Cloet, mayor of Coolscamp and heir of the farm, commissioned the farm together with the tenant, a local farmer named Felix de Puydt.
