Accompagné d’un certificat de libre circulation en date du 7/01/2021 A ROMAN GOLD NECKLACE SET WITH GLASS AND GARNETS, 1ST-2ND CENTURY A.D.14 in. Total length ; 37 grs. Composed of two lengths of threefold doubled loop-in-loop chain, each end closed by a cylindrical terminal. Joined to a series of 5 oval gold boxes, each hinged to the next and set with glass imitating garnet and amethyst stones. The central box supporting a pendant in the form of a flower composed of bezelset glass and garnet , the lateral bezels joined to loop-in-loop chains descending from the upper bezels. For the type compare the necklace from the Castellani Collection, n°2746 in Marshall, Catalogue of the Jewellery, Greek, Etruscan Roman in the Departments of Antiquities, British Museum. Composé d’une longue chaîne de triple fils d’or de boucle en boucle, chaque extrémité fermée par une borne cylindrique. Unie à une série de 5 boîtes ovales en or, chacune articulée l’une à l’autre et sertie de verre imitant des pierres de grenat et d’améthyste. La boîte centrale supportant un pendentif en forme de fleur composé de verre et de grenat, le pendentif est relié à la rangée principale par des chaînes de maillons entrelacés descendant des lunette supérieures.
