Ladies couple. China, first third century XX Ivory. Wooden bases. Unique pieces. Imported directly by the current owner from Beijing, during the 1980s. Measurements: 148 x 146 cm. Pair of carved ivory sculptures, representing two courtesans wearing elegant attire. The clothes, long-waisted and sensually draped, with bows and ribbons, as well as the headdresses, have been profusely worked. One of the ladies holds a musical instrument; the other a fan. Wooden base entirely covered with ivory plaques. They have the corresponding certificate issued by the Spanish Ministry of Economy accepting their trade in the EU. It validates the CITES certificate.
