Accompanied by poetry, richly coloured by hand. Binding sl. rubbed, loosening in spine. Extremely rare first edition of one of the earliest folio picturebooks published by Bom, with poems by Schenkman. Earlier edition of the 1864 edition: the publisher's catalogue (presented on both endpapers) mentions Lotgevallen van Margaretha en hare pop Mina, which according to Buijnsters was acquired by Bom in 1859.
