Le décor est divisé en deux registres. Au registre supérieur, partant du col, frise de larges rayons encadrant la scène principale comosée d'un canard de profil vers la droite entouré de symboles géométriques. Au-dessous, frise de bandes concentriques brunes partiellement effacées. Ce type de vase marque l'apparition du style orientalisant dans l'évolution de l'art grec.
