Charlotte Monginot, Egyptian woman, c. 1915, H. 31.5 cm (with base). Cold painted bronze, head, torso, hands and feet made of carved ivory. Base signed: Ch. Monginot (incised). On the floor the LNJL plaque for Les Neveux de Jules Lehmann. Green and black marble base. This lot contains materials protected by the Washington conservation agreement such as ivory, rhino horn, rosewood etc. Many countries have changed their import / export laws regarding these materials in recent years.
