A fine bisque head B.S fashion doll with trunk and clothing, French circa 1870, the pale bisque head with blue/grey fixed glass eyes, single stroke eyebrows, closed mouth and rouged cheeks, pierced ears and original blonde wig with cork pate, swivel head to kid leather body with individually stitched fingers and wearing original white muslin dress with blue trim, underclothes and blue socks, extra clothing includes a pink silk summer dress with lace detail, cream day dress, white cotton jacket, tartan cape, aprons, bloomers and early shirt, with her all-bisque doll and studded trunk with compartments, tray and carry-handles, together with a doll size fur covered Dalmatian dog, doll 10 ½” (27cm) tall, unknown maker, see page 65 Coleman’s Encyclopedia, Vol II.
