Mercury carries Psyche to Mount Olympus fresco laid on canvas, without frame 294.5 x 163 cm The work was originally located in the octagonal Room called del Coghetti or Psyche, on the top floor of Palazzo Bolognetti-Torlonia. PROVENANCE Palazzo Torlonia, Rome, until about 1900; bought by the Neapolitan merchant Francesco Tancredi and with him until 1902-1903; arrived in the collection of the Countess Amalia Canonica in the 1920s and by inheritance to the current owners.
