Neptune (Allegory of Water), within tondo fresco laid on canvas, without frame 74 x 74 cm above right old sales tag: 1 [2] / Neptune pulled by the dolphin / Coghetti PROVENANCE Palazzo Torlonia, Rome, until around 1900; purchased by the Neapolitan merchant Francesco Tancredi and with him until 1902-1903;  arrived in the collection of Countess Amalia Canonica in the 1920s and by inheritance to the current owners.
