“Our Lady of the Milk”. Alabaster sculpture with polychrome residue. Castilian School. Renaissance. 16th century. Mary is in a vertical position, crowned as a queen, holding the Child in her left arm and bringing him close in order to nurse him. With her right hand she opens her tunic, exposing her breast. The execution of the sweet features of Mary’s face and her wavy hair is outstanding. 56,5 x 23,5 x 23,5 cm.
