Guru Gobind Singh, also named as Gobind Rai was the tenth leader of the Sikhs and a founder of Khalsa community which promises ‘to be pure, to be clear and to be free’; he was a spiritual master, warrior, poet and a great philosopher who also introduced the ‘five Ks’ of Sikhism namely, Kesh (uncut hair), Kanghi (wooden comb), Kara (iron bracelet), Kachera (100% cotton tieable undergarment) and Kirpan (iron dagger). _x000D_Painting shown on this page fulfils all the aspects of this Sikh Guru, who is seen riding on a horse to fight a battle; clad in mehendi green traditional costume that touches his feet, red jootis and the golden-green stylized turban (dastar) on his head identifies his unique identity, honour, self respect, courage, spirituality and piety.
