Seat of Wisdom (Sedes Sapientiae). Carved and polychromed wooden sculpture. Transition period between the Romanesque and the Gothic. Circa 1300. With its original red and blue toned polychrome. Mary wears a crown and veil which falls to form folds on her shoulders. She holds the Child on her lap. The right arms of the Madonna and the Child are missing. Some slight flaws. 87 x 31 x 17 cm.
