Taxidermy: A magnificently appointed and highly ornate rosewood case by the celebrated 19th century taxidermist Henry Burton of Wardour Street, London, the case contains an assortment of Indian birds including rollers, woodpeckers, hoopoes, Himalayan thrushes, parakeets and broadbills, all of which are in excellent condition, 174cm high by 120cm wide, A case on this scale and of this importance in such fine condition is a very rare and desirable survival from the Victorian era.
