José de Páez (Mexico City, 1727 - c. 1780) and workshop. Collection of 12 oil paintings on canvas depicting scenes from the Old Testament, in the form of a folded screen of four sections on a gilded wooden structure. Three of the panels are signed, one by José de Páez and the other two are illegible. 1st section: " Lot and his daughters" Signed: José de Paez (44 x 50 cm.); "Immaculate Conception" Signed but illegible (42 x 30 cm.) and “Mary, Victory over Sin” (54 x 46 cm.). 2nd section: "Divine Shepherd" (57 x 37 cm.); "Antony the Great" (41 x 25 cm.) and "Saint" (57 x 47 cm.) 3rd section: "Samson and Delilah". Signed but illegible (44 x 49 cm.); "Holy Family with the Doctors of the Church" (56 x 41 cm.) and "Saint Christopher" (38 x 28 cm.) 4th section: "Saint Peter" (56 x 35 cm.); "Saint Magdalene of Pazzi" (45 x 31 cm.) and "Holy Family" (45 x 31 cm.). Total measurements: 206 x 57 x 4 cm.
