dating: early 17th Century provenance: Europe, Skull in two halves, joined at the low, central comb, provided with twisted border and triple outlining at the base. A row of rivets on the back of the skull, at the nape, with brass head and rosette. Raisable, sharpened brim, with thick, file-roped, twisted border, provided with triple outlining and slot for the comb. Ventail ribbed in the center, the upper part with slots for the eyes, provided with central dent and relieved borders; one rosette for ventilation holes on the right side and a loop for the hook, edges with triple outlining. Beaver in one piece with internal border, smoothly file-roped, ribbed in the center and with hook. Single-plated neck-guard, fixed with rivets with a brass head, with bands with triple outlining, file-roped and twisted border and band file-roped en suite. Single-plated nape-guard, fixed with two rivets, with a brass head and decorated en suite, with triple grooves and double, file-roped band. Apparently only two rivets are restored, all the rest is antique. Interesting helmet, of a good quality. height 32 cm.
