The 130 artworks by Max Ernst that make up the French exhibition at the Hotel de Caumont vibrate with passion and ideas which the artist nurtured throughout his life.

The German gallery Max Hetzler is opening a fourth location in Berlin this Saturday, in the space previously occupied by Blain Southern, which closed in 2019 due to bankruptcy. The inaugural show will be an exhibition of the German Expressionist André Butzer’s work.

These two influential painters could not be linked without sparks flying: with his Projet pour un monument à Leonardo da Vinci, an oil painting executed in 1957 in Touraine, Max Ernst achieved €833,000 today at Drouot under Aguttes’ hammer.
