Der Klänge theater has created a virtually accessible walking tour of the theater that was once designed by the virtuosic German architect. The theater was commissioned in 1927 by Erwin Piscator, who called on Gropius to make a “new type of total theater” but was unfortunately never completed. (Kunstforum)

Complementing existing galleries in Beijing and the seaside resort of Beidaihe, Ullens Center for Contemporary Art is opening UCCA Edge in Shanghai. The Reading by Marguerite Gérard was acquired from TEFAF by the Henry Barber Trust, in Birmingham. Famous in her own time, then partly eclipsed by the fame of her brother-in-law Fragonard, Gérard was rediscovered in the 1970s thanks to feminist historians and was the subject of a monograph by Carole Blumenfeld.

The musée Jean-Honoré Fragonard, located in the southern French city, is showing works by the Lemoine sisters—four late 18th and early 19th-century painters—to shed light on a hitherto obscure chapter in art history.
