LOUIS MAJORELLE (1859-1926)

Rare and exceptional middle table that can be used as a desk or console in ribbed, molded and carved mahogany and flamed mahogany veneer.
The entablature rests on a curvilinear, curved and swollen belt on each side.
The top has a carved, curvilinear, projecting gallery surround.
The wide overhanging corner legs, sculpted and arched, each receive a spectacular gilded bronze trim, formed by a hoof continuing to the capital and ending with a floral motif of buttercup.
Art Nouveau period.
Used condition, two accidents without missing the petals of the gilded bronze floral motifs.
