Ispahan rug Cotton warp and weft, wool pile (slight wear) Central Iran, circa 1920 250 x 140 cm This finely knotted rug features a central navy-blue polylobed medallion, extended by two pendants on a red background enhanced by an elegant stylized floral design. The whole composition is embellished with four navy blue spandrels. A navy blue border with a garland of stylized multicolored flowers is framed by two counter-borders.
