Exceptional French dress in taffeta Chiné à la branche, Rococo style, Louis XV period, circa 1765.
Tender pink silk taffeta decorated with an ikate pattern with a large ratio of design called "Chiné à la branche" featuring flowerbeds and branches with rose embedded in a twist of ribbons in hatch or lilac foliage. Coat falbalas pleated with edges curved and pinched by the middle. Straight half-sleeves probably ended in "pagoda" with flounce of the same fabric. Full petticoat adorned with a wide flounce on the middle and a narrow band of pleated falbala on the hem with yoke in the back in Indian from the Wetter factory (in Orange) with brown floral pattern.

Condition: superb for the silk probably coming from the Grande Fabrique (Lyon). Width of weaving: 57 cm. Some modifications of the waist and missing pagoda ruffles.
