Embroidered hanging, probably Gujarat, India for export, late eighteenth - early nineteenth century, panel consisting of two widths of cream cotton canvas very finely embroidered with chain stitch silk dominantly fuchsia, yellow, blue and green of a dense decoration of flowering scrolls populated with peacocks and other birds, (some small accidents along the edges mainly), 240 x 182 cm.
