This merchant is moving forward with a determined step carrying a large box to deliver her flowers. She is represented by a few light pencil strokes, the black dress and the blue cap watercolored and the white apron treated in reserve. Behind the features of a simple woman, a woman of the people, it is dignity that prevails. The pencils, it is not wood and lead, it is thought by the phalanges. Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec Always and everywhere the ugliness has its accents of beauty. It is exciting to discover them where nobody sees them . Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec
