HIMALAYA, 20th century, in the taste of the 17th century
Phurbu (Buddhist ritual dagger) with a handle decorated on the lower part with a makara head whose open mouth spits out the tripartite blade decorated with intertwined snakes. The middle part is composed of two rings with the motif of the endless knot, symbolizing the infinite wisdom of Buddha. Finally, the pommel features the faces of three deities reminiscent of Mahakala.
Partially gilded iron.
