Large folio of (14) ff, 453-(2) pp. brown calf, spine with ornate nerves (period binding). First edition illustrated with 126 full-page engraved plates. Binding worn, very rubbed, headbands torn off, corners very dull, a few freckles, small wormholes in the margins of a few leaves, light marginal wetness in places. Restorations on pages 12, 103, 137 and 159. one plate cut out (with its margins) and pasted on a leaf on p. 127, with old handwritten references on the plate itself and to the chapter concerned. 43,5 x 30 cm.
