Rare old copy of the will of Charles V of Anjou (1446-1481), duke of Anjou, count of Maine and Provence, made in Marseille on December 10, 1481, retaining the political dispositions of the monarch: he institutes for his heir the king of France, Louis XI, and his successors to the crown of France and bequeathing to him his sovereignty over Provence and his claims to the kingdom of Naples.
The complete will, on vellum, from the Chambre des Comptes d'Angers is kept in the Archives Nationales (P 1334, 17, n° 51).
